Daisy Homecare collects personal information on its staff and its service users, including the care they are being provided. This is so we can:

  1. Make sure we are providing you with the right care which suits your individual needs and preferences. It also allows us to adapt to any changes you may request.

  2. Keep you safe from any type of harm and abuse.

  3. Answer any queries and complaints can be dealt with promptly and in the right way.

  4. Regularly check the service we provide and update as deemed necessary.

The information we ask for and keep will only be relevant to the needs of the service. This includes information about who you are, your home, what and who is important to you, your needs and preferences regarding your care, and the details of the services in which we provide to you.

What we do with this information:

All information is stored securely meaning everything is password protected and it isn't given out to anyone outside of the organisation.

​

No information will be stored for longer than is necessary. Any information is destroyed after services are ended after a minimum of 6 months.

Who gets access to this information?:

Our management staff and carers have access to all of your information for the purpose of making sure you are provided with the best possible care based on your needs and preferences.

​

You, the inidividual, also have the right to request any information regarding the data we hold on you. You also have the rights to refuse and for all data to be destroyed

​

Your family and loved ones can also request copies of this information, providing that you have given permission in writing.

​

On a few occassions, we may have to share your information with those outside of our organisation, but this is for the purpose of helping the individual only. This may include:

​

  • Healthcare professionals in an emergency

  • Legal representatives you have appointed, such as attorneys

  • A court appointed deputy, guardian or visitor

  • The local authority health and social care department or the health and social care trust

  • An independent mental health advocate
